Kokoro-Bushi-Do (KBD) Kempo Karate was founded in 1997 by "Soke" Dr. Benson Campbell, Internationally recognized Hall of Famer & Style Head/Lead Instructor/Chief Director of Kokoro-Bushi-Do Kempo Karate, Inc. Kokoro-Bushi-Do Kempo Karate Inc. is a Official (501c3)Non-Profit Organization filed & registered in the state of Georgia since 2003.
Kokoro-Bushi-Do meaning "SPIRIT WARRIOR WAY" takes it's roots from the original martial arts of Okinawa where the Principles, Philosophies & Techniques of China & Japan, blended with that of Okinawa. Kokoro-Bushi-Do Kempo Karate meaning "SPIRIT WARRIOR WAY" Kempo Karate is the way of Harmony & Survival.
Our focus is Self-Control & Self Protection of the individual. Our Principles & Philosophy are Biblically supported. Our Concepts, Methods & Techniques are base out of China, Okinawa & Japan with the addition of Korean, Indonesian, Brazilian, African, Philippians & Thailand. We train for all the ranges of combat, with an Internal & External focus by embracing both Hard & Soft techniques as well as Linear & Circular motion. Kokoro-Bushi-Do focuses on the whole Being (Spirit, Mind & Body). The Balance of the Being. We teach you to identify the Attacker or Predator at each level of your Being and give you the Knowledge, Tools & Training to overcome the attacker in any given situation. At any Given time. We don't Fight, that's to come down to the attackers level... We Control situation, we Survive!
Kokoro-Bushi-Do has implemented modifications for modern day Life & all Teachings, Principles & Philosophies are in support of the Bible (Hope, Faith & Love). Kokoro-Bushi-Do is a discipline that focuses on Harmony & Survival. Harmony is emphasized by teachings of the Spirit Warrior Creed, Code of Honor & Prayer. Survival is emphasized by the practice of a full range of protection techniques such as kicking, striking, take downs & throws, standing & ground grappling. KBD also focuses on building a strong sense of awareness. The "COMMUNITY LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION PROGRAMS" that KBD offers consist of rank levels which gives the student/disciple the opportunity to achieve the full potential & harmony of
the Being(Spirit, Mind & Body). Also giving the student/disciple the opportunity to learn Self-Protection techniques to overcome and defeat any form of attack...by an Attacker/Predator.
Levels of rank to be achieve includes:
White/Beginner, Orange/Intermediate, Green/Advance, Brown/Senior & Black/Teacher. These ranks will be support with a Chevron Patch & Internationally recognized Certificate of Achievement.

We use martial arts as a vehicle to teach, train and empower the individual (Male & Female) ages 6 & up with HOPE, so they don't give up! FAITH, to overcome life challenges both mental and physical! LOVE, the power and ablility to do, initiate action from a positive source and base (Self-Control<>Self-Protection<>Self-Development)! As a result establishing (Strong<>Safe<>Secure) Communities.
We offer high quality Teaching & Training at a very low fee & in many cases no fee at all. We don't even entertain the thought of turning anyone away. We don't like to see that as an option. Many who need our services are those who can't afford it at a Low Fee or a Fee at all. Any amount that you can give to support our ability to continue offering these much needed services, will be used for that purpose and appreciated.
